GUAYAQUIL PORT

The port of Guayaquil has two sections:

New Port and the berths in the Salitral and el Muerto creeks; which are reached by navigating up to the Salado Creek. The New Port is about 5 miles south of the city.

The Old Port (river berths) on the west bank of the RIVER GUAYAS, is in the city and its outskirts and is reached by navigating up to the Guayas River.

Anchorage area:

Between buoys 64 and 72 where ship can wait for a berth. It is also the quarantine station.

Pilotage

It is Compulsory, the pilot station is at Data and operate constantly on VHF channel 16 can be reached from 20-25 miles out.
