MANTA PORT

On the southern shore of Manta Bay about seven miles east from San Mateo Point. The port is on the east side of a breakwater that extends some 1.500 m northwards from the shore and turns east for a further 300m.

The light-beacon on the end of the breakwater is visible 6 miles, standing 12.m high on a concentrate tower with black and white bands and has red flashing light.

The port has two finger piers jutting out eastwards from the breakwater, these are for deep sea ships only. For small craft and fishing vessels there are 3 berths alongside the breakwater nearest the shore, Manta also count with two Free Zone near to the port with a large storage area.

Pilotage

It is Compulsory, pilot embark at any time of the day or night about half mile due east from the end of the breakwater.
